Mind Versus Spirit In An Increasingly Changing World

It seems that the world is in the apex of exponential change. Major change doesn’t happen overnight or even over weeks or months. It happens over many years. Often major change is not recognized as such until we can measure or observe a significant difference. It seems like major changes occur exponentially. Change begins slowly, picks up speed and takes place at an increasingly faster rate. It is similar to how binomial equations appear in a graph. The line starts out level, begins slowly to curve upwards (or downwards depending on your perspective). The curve becomes steeper and steeper until it is vertical. It seems that we are currently at the leading edge of the steep part of the curve in relation to the world changes that have been and are increasingly taking place. This theory is evidenced in:

    • Exponential population growth is approaching saturation in the most populated areas of the world.
    • Information exchange is increasing at an increasing rate.
    • Technological advancements are being made at a faster and faster rate and becoming available on a larger scale in more and more areas of the world.
    • Natural resources: food, clean water, energy and even clean air are being depleted at an increasing rate.
    • There are increasing numbers of economically deprived people compared to increasing wealth and power held by individuals and relatively small groups of people
    • Increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters, which threaten increasingly large groups of people
    • Increasing environmental pollution and health threats that are created from greed and need.
    • Mind control over increasingly large groups of people by wealthy individuals, greedy corporations and governments employing media and deception.
    • Increasing division and conflict between opposing cultures and ideologies.

It seems like Mind consciousness (negative power) is growing exponentially. As the world becomes increasingly hostile and challenging, there is more and more incentive for people to choose the spiritual path. Applying natures law of balance, Spirit must grow proportionally to Mind. It seems likely that, in proportion to the changes that are taking place, Spirit will become increasing manifest in an increasing number of people. Many people will have incentive to ascend spiritually and an increasing number of souls will find their way back to God. Perhaps the prophetic “rapture” is beginning or about to begin.

When a person realizes the power of Naam (the Holy Spirit of God) and feels the joy that it brings, there is a great incentive to develop a stronger spiritual connection. It feels good beyond description. When God’s love and the joy that comes with it is realized and becomes an integral part of a person’s consciousness, becoming 100% in Naam is a very attractive goal. It seems like when a soul is 100% in Naam, the soul will spontaneously leave the physical body and ascend to God. That is unless there is a God-given purpose to stay in the physical body, for example to serve as a guardian to protect devoted souls who are still in physical form or to assist other devoted souls in their spiritual development and ascent. I would like to be 100% with God and expect that this will happen in due time, but right now it seems to be part of God’s plan for me to remain in the flesh so that I may be of service in a physical capacity. I accept my “marching orders” as a blessing and gladly give myself to Naam for it brings joy, resolve and bliss, which is not possible any other way.

People who are not realizing their spiritual core and are not moving towards Godliness can only respond to the increasing world changes with mental and physical solutions. Mental and physical responses are limited and can’t change the course of nature or consequences of karma. Philanthropists satisfy the ego’s need for recognition by giving to good causes. Conservationists work to preserve the Earth and natural resources, which in turn gives them a sense of value and identity in the physical world. Humanitarians work to reduce suffering and injustice in the world, which again gives them a sense of value and identity in the physical world. All of these efforts are noble and good, but they cannot stop the inevitable changes that are occurring. Fear of change and the unknown will drive many people to paranoia, extremism and depression. Stress and malnutrition will weaken many people to the point where their mental and physical capacity will decrease. These conditions set the stage for increased suffering and shorter life-spans. On the other hand, people who are realizing that they are souls living in physical bodies will find safety and comfort in Naam, which in turn reduces their suffering and neutralizes fear. Devotion and submission to God increases Naam exponentially. In keeping with the law of balance, as the stress increases for worldly people so does the Naam for Godly people. In other words, Godly people are protected and buffered from suffering as a matter of natural consequences. However, in order to be on this side of the phenomenon they must first consciously realize their spiritual nature and choose to prioritize spiritual growth over mental and physical satisfaction (egocentric rewards).

    Change Requires Energy

Without consistent and sustained effort, nothing of value can be achieved.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When we begin life as a baby, it is appropriate and necessary to be centered around growth and development of the mind and body. As we grow and acquire knowledge and programming, we develop a sense of self as a physical being (ego). Most people seem to be fixed in the belief that they are only a physical being. They then seem to make choices and develop thinking that is based on primordial animal survival instincts. This type of thinking leads to excessive physical passions and desires, which results in obsessions, addictions, delusions and mental servitude.

At some point in their lives, many people realize that there is more to life than what was previously understood and they begin to pursue greater awareness, beyond mental and physical constrictions. After going through a process of self-examination and mental house-cleaning, one begins to realize true self as soul/spirit, which leads to the realization that suffering originates in the mind and body, and is the result of the spirit not having control over the mind.

When self is perceived as only mind and body, self can’t have control over the mind and body because the mind is in control. But, the mind can’t make choices. It only responds to stimulus according to its programming. The result is confusion and suffering. This is not conjecture. It is fact, which is evidenced by the brutal history of mankind.

There is a simple solution, but most people won’t realize it in one life-time. The solution is to realize that a choice to improve yourself is a choice to improve all of life for all living things. Realize also that a choice to improve life and living things around you is a choice to improve yourself. When you begin to realize this relationship in life, you will want to change your activities and reprogram the mind and body to be in alignment with the spirit of life, which is eternal and has no need to fear anything. Be aware that the mind is resistant to change. This is a safety/survival feature, which must be overridden by your higher awareness. Be consistent and persistent until the mind surrenders to the spirit. Then you will be a mature adult human being.

Living dormant within you is the seed of eternal life, just as a tree is hidden inside a seed, cream is concealed in milk, fragrance is an invisible essence of flowers, and color is latent within the leaves of henna. In the same way, contained within us all is a state of glory that is unimaginable. This is what we must attain. We need to realize our supreme life! The seed that God has sown within us and sent with us—this life force—requires the fertile ground of devotion, showered with the water of love. Only then will the seed germinate.

    Who is i?

There is no shame in being great, but to be great one must first become non-existent.

    What would you do?

    My mind was wandering and as I observed its path a question occurred, as if I had reached an intersection of two-dimensional planes of existence;

What would I do differently in this life if I knew without a shadow of a doubt that by simply being all that I know is right and shedding all that I know to be distraction I would be completely and infinitely in a state of joy and peace?

I don’t have all of the answers yet, but the questions are becoming clear.

    Can The World Be Saved?

The world cannot be saved because it doesn’t need to be saved. Everything is as it should be. Suffering is one of the many paths towards enlightenment. This iron age is an evolutionary step towards the golden age where intelligent beings will be self-governed by common sense.

    What Is Evil?

Evil is not a reality. It is a concept, which is subjective and contextual. Even the lowest of life forms serve a useful purpose in the chain of life. Evil is to Life as darkness is to light. Without light, darkness cannot be described because there is nothing to compare it to. Without Life consciousness, evil ceases to exist. It is as rocks and sand, inert and lifeless.

    Universal Spiritual Science

Any system of religion that can’t be followed by all of mankind will become obsolete. If spiritual science is to be of use to mankind, it must be a universal science. If it is not suited to all of mankind, under all conditions of life, then it is not universal.
